Stopped in today for the first time and had such a great experience. The staff is so kind and attentive. I tried a sample of the peanut butter banana ice cream, which was amazing. We ended up leaving with the "Love at First Bite" (pictured) which was INCREDIBLE, a brown butter chocolate chip cookie that was the perfect texture and chewyness, and some classic malted milk balls. Had the midnight chocolate dome cake thing ( sorry forgot the official name ). Pricey but worth the $12.50.  All I could think about was when can I go back for the lemon and blueberry one. I've heard so many great things about this place in the small window they've been open! To my knowledge, this is the only place around that offers those famous fruit entremets without having to go out to Fairfax or farther. They have 4 at the moment, lots of different chocolates, a multitude of croissants and macarons, and gelato! I got the yuzu 'Paradise' dessert today and it was so light and bright. I bought a chocolate croissant today, and I have to say, it ranks among the very best in the NoVa area! It features a crispy exterior and beautifully defined layers; although the honeycomb structure inside isn't particularly pronounced, its airy, tender texture is still far superior to the croissants found at many other bakeries. The only minor drawback is that the buttery aroma isn't quite strong enough. This is a real croissant not bread-croissant.

The gentleman who makes the ice-cream does an amazing job creating extremely authentic mixes. I tried the straciatella flavor prepared to be underwhelmed just to be hit with a taste so familiar and mouth feel so similar it felt as though I was eating the same pastries filled with straciatella as when I was a child.

Had a great experience here this morning. Enjoyed a very good cappuccino, and a croissant that was so divine that I’ll never be able to get a croissant anywhere else. The outside was flaky and almost crispy, the inside soft, and all so perfectly buttery. I was excited to try an almond croissant, but those are weekend only. No seating inside or out.
